Minnesota Tourism Convention
Award Winner!
January of 2006, the AmericInn of Pequot
Lakes/ Jenkins was presented with the
Property of the Year award for
properties 36-100 rooms during the
annual Minnesota Tourism Convention.
This award is given to only one property
state-wide, including resorts and
hotels, so we are very proud to have
received this very prestigious award!

In 2002, the AmericInn of Pequot Lakes/
Jenkins was presented with the
Chairman's Award during the annual
convention for AmericInn franchise
owners and managers on April 29, 2002.
This award is given to honor the
AmericInn staff and owners that have
demonstrated the highest commitment to
excellence in quality assurance
performance, guest satisfaction and
overall service within the AmericInn
Lodging System. CEO Luke Fawlers says,

Wildwedge Golf and Mini Golf
Wildwedge Family Golf Park our new golf
course, driving range and mini golf
opened in 2004 to rave reviews. If you
haven't played them yet, you will be
pleasantly surprised. Our Par 3 golf
course is well-loved by those who have
played and our challenging mini golf is
a great course, 18 holes, professionally
designed with a new waterfall coming
spring 2005. Stay with us and get great
deals on our courses.
Regulation Sand Volleyball Court
Last fall we added a new sand
volleyball court to our backyard
activities. Along
with our playground,firepit, mini golf, golf
course and other outdoor activities, and
our large meeting room and indoor pool
area, we are the perfect place for a
family reunion, fun corporate retreat or
any kind of get-together.
Paul Bunyan Scenic Byway
For you biking enthusiasts, we have some
exciting news. You already knew about
the wonderful Paul Bunyan Trail, which
runs right from our motel to Brainerd or
up north to Hackensack. We now have the
Paul Bunyan Scenic Byway paved so you
can safely ride to Crosslake and go
north thru Manhattan Beach or South and
go thru Breezy Point and back to Pequot
Lakes. It is a nice ride with lots of
things to do along the way.
Birdwatching
Visit "Rebecca's Bird Sanctuary" on our
backyard patio and you don't have to go
far to see many varieties of birds.
Enjoy breakfast on our patio and enjoy
the birds serenading you. We have been
recognized as an official National
Wildlife Federation Backyard Wildlife
Habitat site, by making our backyard an
enticing playground for all kinds of
birds, butterflies and other wildlife.
Sit out on our patio and enjoy the great

hotel is! Being completely
full with several hockey
groups, I was concerned
about getting a good night's
sleep before my early
meeting with a client. It
was not a problem at all. I
feel asleep at 10:00pm and
never woke up all night
until my alarm went off.
Having stayed at many motels
where the TV next door kept
me awake all night, I can
appreciate that. I don't
know what this place is made
of, but it sure is
